Transactions
Note: with the release of 1.3.9, the new "Transactions" endpoint using the /v2/ prefix can be used in place of the prior asset-class specific endpoints.
Lifecycle
| status | Description | Potential Next Status(es) |
|---|---|---|
Pending | The Advisor or Investor may have completed none, one, or more Actions associated with the Transaction, but there are still Actions that need to be completed. Transactions will remain in Pending until all Actions have been completed. Transactions in Pending can be edited. If a Pending transaction is edited, the Actions will retain state and will not be regenerated, regardless of whether or not they have been previously completed. | PendingCancellation, Canceled, Processing |
Processing | Transactions will be moved into Processing once all Actions associated with the Transaction have been completed. Once a transaction reaches this stage, the subscription document associated with the transaction will include the investor signature automatically. At this stage, the investment may not be edited or withdrawn by the investor (including the investment amount).
| PendingCancellation, Canceled, Complete |
Settled | Describes a stage where Monark has confirmed that cash for the Transaction has been pushed and settled with an external account.Note that this status is only used if Monark is directly involved in treasury management at the individual transaction level. | Complete, PendingCancellation, Cancelled |
Complete | The transaction has been completed:
| N/A |
PendingCancellation | The Transaction is being cancelled and actions are being taken to fully cancel the Transaction. Transactions in PendingCancellation are waiting for specific actions to be completed before the entire Transaction can be updated to Cancelled. Examples may include:
| Cancelled |
Cancelled | The Transaction is canceled due to investor action, insufficient funds, incomplete documentation, or issuer rejection. Transactions can be canceled due to a number of different reasons, which will differ across asset classes, product structures, etc. | N/A |
Failed | The transaction has failed due to an unexpected or unspecified reason. This field serves as a catch-all status that would result from any unaccounted API or transaction process failure. If a transaction has reached Failed status, the investor will not receive shares or cash; any funds that were frozen as part of the transaction process should be returned to the Investor. | N/A |
